Cash Cab

The 8 of you decided that you were only here for the ride. Of course, that doesn't mean you get to slack off. In front of you are 8 taxi cabs. At different times over the next 2 hours, the cabs will depart one by one. If the cab leaves and someone is inside the cab, you'll add money to the pot. When a cab is about to depart (based on the time listed below), you'll have 2 minutes to post on here that you'll be getting in the cab. All you have to post is "I am getting in the cab". Each cab can only hold 1 person, so the first to post they're getting in the cab will leave in the cab.

Here's how the money can be added to the pot, along with an estimated departure time for each cab:
Cab 1 (9:30) - $250
Cab 2 (9:40) - $500
Cab 3 (9:45) - $750
Cab 4 (9:50) - $1000
Cab 5 (9:55)- $2500
Cab 6 (10:15)- $3000
Cab 7 (10:35)- $4000
Cab 8 (10:55)- $5000

The longer you wait to enter a cab, the more money you could individually add to the pot; but if there are still 5 people left when the final cab is ready to go, only 1 person can earn the $5000 and you'll have wasted the chance to make money earlier in the challenge.

If 1 person leaves in each of the 8 cabs, you'll add a total of $17000 to the group pot.



Once you've entered the cab, you're done with the task and go on with your life.
