Task 12: Star Search

You thought you were good at finding stars. The stars you’ll be looking for are the names of celebrities on a giant word search puzzle. You’ll have 30 minutes to locate as many names as you can as a group. For each different name you find, $200 will be added to the group pot. Names do not include spaces or punctuation, so Sandra Day O’Connor would be found as SANDRADAYOCONNOR. Names can be found forward, backward, vertically or diagonally, but always in a straight line.

There are over 100 names in the puzzle, so you could add over $20,000 to the pot. It is up to you to decide if you want to post the names as you find them in individual posts, or make 1 long post of everything you find at the end. Keep in mind: if you post as you find, it will eliminate duplicate responses from the group. In your post, just list the name + the grid location of the first and the last letter. For example: Charlie Sheen 1-1 to 1-12 (if his name was the first 12 letters of the top row).

I will not provide you with the list of names in the puzzle, just know that it will be names from the IMDb StarTracker top 100, plus league leaders from the NBA and NFL, current US presidential candidates and recent AMA and Major League Baseball award winners. You can also assign a player to research and list out some of these names for the group, if you believe it would be easier to find the names if they’re listed in front of you.
