Task 15: It Pays to Be Ignorant

Post by Adam on Tue 01 Dec 2015, 12:15

You chose to be the dumb pair, so your task is to answer the following 5-question quiz on this thread. Only one member of the pair needs to supply an answer sheet and you should answer all 5 questions within 1 post. For each question you answer correctly, you'll add $1000 to the group pot.

1. John had 5 pieces of candy. He gave 2 pieces to Sally and ate the other 3. How many pieces of candy does John have left?

2. Bob ran from his house to the park. He ran 5 miles at the park. He then ran home. The distance from his house to the park is 1.5 miles. How many miles did Bob run at the park?

3. Mary babysat the 3 Miller children on Friday night for 3 hours. The Millers paid her $5 per kid per hour. How many kids do the Millers have?

4. The Chicago Cubs finished in 3rd place in their division this year with 97 wins. No other teams in baseball had a better record, other than the Cardinals and Pirates. In the Postseason, the Cubs eliminated both the Pirates and Cardinals. In what city do the Cubs play their home games?

5. Larry started the day with $100. He went to Walmart and spent $12.11. He next stopped at Taco Bell for lunch and spent $6.42. He followed with trips to Lowe's, Toys R Us and Target, spending exactly $21.43 at each location. When he returned home, he realized that he dropped a $10 bill in one of the parking lots. Where did Larry eat lunch?
